The burden due to infectious diseases in India is the highest among the world. Decades ago communicable disease were quite prevalent such as malaria, tuberculosis, AIDS, followed by measles late 1990, leprosy, dengue, cholera, filariasis, kalazar, Japanese fever, measles, whooping cough, viral hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus and neo natal tetanus were more prevalent.After various health and immunization program India is going through an epidemiological transition and in many states non-communicable disease contributes significantly to overall burden of disease in the community; due to urbanization, change in lifestyle, diet, behavior, no exercise microbes and viruses, more of non-communicable disease cases are reported than communicable disease such as coronary heart diseases, obesity, diabetes, cancers, blindness and road accidents.
